The damage done.
The Damage Done, channels the visual fractures into an emotional
narrative: the stitched vertical line reads simultaneously as repair and scar,
the ochre palette evokes dried blood, skin, and sun-bleached memory. The small,
remote motifs — boat, building — suggest distance and context: memory of place,
or things lost in the wake of injury. The ambiguity permits readings that range
from personal trauma to cultural damage; the work situates vulnerability and
endurance in the same stroke.
